Steps to follow
Before starting, please note that the following procedure is only available for some Android phones. With this in mind, do the following:
- Confirm that WhatsApp has no pending updates.
- Then enter the “Settings” menu of the device.
- Click on “Advanced features > Dual messaging > WhatsApp” and select “Install“, then check for an orange symbol at the bottom right of the app icon.
- Finally, enter the application and proceed to enter the phone number to verify it and create a new account.

With WhatsApp Business
Another option to have two WhatsApp accounts at the same time is to download WhatsApp Business, since to use this app it is not mandatory to have a business and its operation is similar to the original app. All you need to do is install it on the cell phone and verify the new number, then select the “Not a business” option.
Through external tools
In case the mobile does not have the native option to duplicate the WhatsApp app, there are some external tools that allow you to achieve this. Some of these apps are Parallel Space or App Cloner, which allow you to clone an application inside it.
Then just enter the new telephone number and verify it by means of the numerical code received by SMS. The app can then be used normally.
